Spring Flowers and Bad Banksia men

Spring time on the Peninsula explodes with color, shapes, textures and perfumes.
The bush land bordering the coastal path here at Mt. Martha is a riot of hues and tints and yellow is dominating at the moment with so many varieties of Wattle but we have found some blossoms and brilliant fruit that have survived the constant rains we have had .

Just down the road there are Banksia trees full of their seeds known to all Australian children as " the Bad Banksia men" through that wonderful Australian author May Gibbs and they certainly do look a bit beastly!
